To make Dal Khichdi, take a soaked mixture of 1/4 cup of semi brown rice and 1/4 cup of green moong dal with 4 times the water, that is 1 cup.
Put rock salt to taste, 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon of crushed black pepper, 1 bay leaf, cumin seeds, grated ginger, green chilli and mix well.
Cover the pan and let it cook on a low flame for about 20 to 25 minutes.
That's all, your khichdi will be ready.
Top it off with fresh coriander leaves and 1 TSP of cow ghee.
