PCOS & PCOD Diet Plan| Full Day Diet to Cure PCOS/PCOD

This blog will be a full day PCOD diet plan to root out Polycystic Ovarian Disease/Syndrome [PCOD/PCOS] from its very cause.

If you think that by just popping some pills you can get over this condition, then let me put forward a simple fact that modern science is so clueless about the cause of PCOD that they call it a syndrome.

On the other hand, Ayurvedic texts have clearly mentioned its causes along with a detailed solution, thousands of years ago when PCOD was not even common while it is rampant in today’s generation.

Based on these ancient texts and considering our modern lifestyles I’ll share with your diet plan that checks all the boxes.

If you follow this diet plan 100%, I can assure that you can push PCOD out of your life forever.

As always, I have tried to keep this article pretty comprehensive.

Not only, I will share with you the preparation of each meal but also when and how to consume them so that you can get maximum benefit.

PCOD is a serious disorder, but yes it can be completely cured provided that you are really serious about it.

I have broken down this diet plan into two parts –

  1. First is a 15-day strict detox plan which will cleanse out the toxins from your body and prepare it for quick recovery.
  2. Post that, it’s fairly relaxed diet to ensure that PCOD is rooted from its very cause.

So, without any further delay let’s get started.

Full-Day Diet Plan to Cure PCOD

1. First Thing in the Morning – Drink Water

First thing upon waking up you need to drink water. But wait, it’s no normal water.

It’s Moon charged water. yes, I have already discussed with you how strongly a woman’s body is connected with the Moon.

The 28-day cycle of the moon and the 28-day menstrual cycle of women is not merely a coincidence.

So, keep a glass bottle full of drinking water overnight in the moonlight and drink it first thing in the morning.

The moonlight charges the water appropriately, which went drunk first thing in the morning becomes the best medicine for women to balance their hormones.

Yes, it’s no superstition.

Drink it slowly, sip-by-sip.

2. Massage Your Body w/Sesame Oil

Okay, then after you have started your day, well you can make it better by doing body massage with sesame oil, massage your navel as well.

Do some exercise pranayam etc, it greatly helps in curing PCOD.

Now get ready for the day.

3. Have Cow Ghee

After moon charged water, this is the second most important step for the proper detox and to bring about an ideal hormonal balance.

You need to drink ghee.

Yes, suffering from PCOD, a woman’s body gets dry internally.

This is where ghee provides the much-needed lubrication and when I say ghee do not mistake it to be any ghee.

It has to be A2 cow ghee, that is desi cow ghee. Only then you will get the best result.

I know it’s not easy to find an authentic Desi Ghee nowadays.

Don’t worry, I have hand-picked some brands that make A2 cow key and have linked them down below.

Even better, if you can find a gaushala (cow farm) near you.

You need to drink 3 to 4 tablespoons of desi cow ghee.

It won’t make you gain weight, on the contrary, it will help you shed some extra weight releasing out the much-needed overload from your ovaries.

You might feel Pukish for the first couple of times. It’s ok, do not resist, let the toxins be pushed out.

4. Breakfast

After having ghee, it’s unlikely that you will have any hunger for breakfast.

Although, if you do wish to have something, prepared something light like fresh clear vegetable soup.

It’s crunchy, healthy and super easy to make.

  • Finally, top it up with freshly cut coriander leaves, serve hot.
  • Start with salad and then have this curry with 1 multigrain chapati.

Paneer and other fermented foods being rich in vitamin B 12 are priceless for the ovaries.

Although in lunch, if you want you can replace paneer with any other seasonal curry.

And whenever possible end your meal with chaas (buttermilk).

Now here’s the thing, if your periods are delayed, have the salty version and if excessive bleeding is your problem, choose sweet lassi over chaas.

Also when you take your lunch to your workplace, ensure that you avoid plastic containers.

The last thing that you would want is plastic interfering with your hormones, isn’t it?

Use stainless steel or glass tiffin is even better.

6. Between Lunch & Dinner

Okay, wait, if you feel hungry between lunch and dinner feel free to hop on any seasonal fruit apple, banana, oranges, etc.

Make sure to keep it handy with yourself.

7. Dinner

Moving to the last meal of the day which is dinner.

For Dinner have something light like Dal Khichdi.

Not only it’s among the best dining options for PCOD but is also light, filling and hardly requires any effort.

Just ensure that you have semi brown rice and lentil soap in the morning.

I highly recommend that you have your dinner by 7:00 p.m. so that it gets digested well before you sleep.

Food made in a clay pot without the use of pressure cooker digest fast retains maximum nutrients and maintains proper hormonal balance.

It will also greatly help you if you stop using aluminium and nonstick cookware and switch to clay, iron and brass pots.

8. Post Dinner

After dinner, make sure that you walk out and spend at least 15 minutes under the moonlight.

The more moonlight you will absorb the better your hormones will function.

9. Before Sleep

Half an hour before going to sleep at night, if you feel hungry simply have a glass of warm milk.

Finally, before falling asleep make sure to keep water bottle out in the moonlight to be consumed the next morning.

It is also extremely important that you do not compromise on sleep.

For ideal hormonal function, 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. is considered best for sleeping.

General Advice

Follow this diet religiously for 15 days.

Consider this as your healing period.

And if you successfully do so you can assure yourself of a faster recovery.

After 15 days you can get a bit more relaxed with your diet but follow a healthy plate method.

You can start eating two chapatis, you can put onions and tomatoes while making curries.

Desi cow ghee should be a part of your diet, top it over the curries.

Avoid oily junk and packaged foods as much as possible.

Also avoid green tea, black tea or black coffee.

You should be very regular with your workouts, focus on strength training, practice butterfly pose and regularly do breathing exercises.

It has been explicitly mentioned that disease can take hold of a woman only when her body is out of sync with the moon.

Even though you will be able to see a significant difference within one or two menstrual cycles, I suggest that you keep following a healthy lifestyle.

Yes, PCODs are serious disorder but don’t worry and be certain that this diet has the power to push it out of the deal.

If you are mentally convinced about this fact half your work is done.
