5 Best Products by Sadhguru’s Isha Life Foundation Worth a Try

Now before I start talking about Sadhguru’s Isha life products I want to make this clear that this article is not sponsored by isha life.

Nor do I have any kind of relation or association with them.

I am just like you, a consumer looking to buy genuine and value for money products for me and my family.

Satguru Jaggi Vasudev, a well-known spiritual leader of India, has a wide range of products to offer under the brand name Isha life.

From food products to cosmetics to yoga accessories and home decor, Isha life has hundred plus products.

Out of all Isha products I have chosen five products which in my opinion are genuine, high in utility and value for money.

Five Products by Isha Life That are Value for Money

1. Isha’s Sanjeevani Instant Health Drink

Starting with number five on the list is Isha’s Sanjeevani instant health drink.

Making a kid drink plain milk can be quite a task.

That’s where health drinks come into picture which not only makes milk more palatable but also promises to boost nutrition.

So, if you are looking for a genuine health drink? this is it.

But what is the problem with Bournvita?

Well, the answer lies in their ingredients.

Where Isha Sanjeevani is made from multi-grains, pulses, spices without the use of preservatives, additives, or artificial flavours.

Bournvita, so-called inner strength formula is a mere mix of refined sugars, malt, preservatives, additives and artificial flavours.

In just one serving of Bournvita, you get almost three teaspoons of refined sugar and why just bash Bournvita, you take any so-called health drink in the Indian market be it complain, Horlicks, Milo or even Patanjali’s Powervita, they all are nothing but sugar boxes covered with big celebrity endorsements.

Isha life’s health drink on the other hand truly justifies the name Sanjeevani.

The goodness of green gram, millets and country sugar which is nothing but jaggery powder truly makes it worth adding in the milk.

This one product beats the whole category of mainstream health drinks by a mile.

What’s commendable is that even after using such quality ingredients they have been successful in keeping the price quite competitive.

Surely worth a try.

2. Isha life’s Purely Natural Face Wash

Next on the list is Isha life’s purely natural face wash.

While it is very easy to claim yourself natural, herbal and all that good stuff.

But it is extremely difficult to live up to such tall claims.

Himalaya’s so-called purifying neem face wash is one such example.

Leave aside a few herbal ingredients, this popular face wash has added synthetic colours and harsh preservatives which let alone prevent pimples it might actually damage the skin.

On the other hand, isha life has surely gone the toxin-free way with this face wash as it has not even a single harsh chemical in it.

Enriched with lemon and turmeric oil, this face wash might help you prevent pimples without causing any side effects.

However, it is to be noted that not all face washes made by isha life are toxin-free.

For instance, their sandalwood face cleanser comes with added artificial fragrance and synthetic colours.

Definitely not made in the Himalayas.

But for this Purely Natural face cleanser, a big thumbs up.

3. Isha’s Adai Dosa Mix

Number three on the list is Isha’s Adai dosa mix.

If you are a dosa lover like me this product will surely interest you.

But why this one, why not MTR’s dosa mix, which is much more popular and readily available?

Again the answer lies on the other side of the pack.

Where Isha’s dosa mix is made 100% from natural and authentic dosa ingredients, even the salt used is rock salt.

While MTR has conveniently added maida, refined vegetable oils, leavening agents, acidity regulator and what not.

MTR’s original recipe is not so original.

And do you know what’s more interesting? It’s their price.

You will get 500 grams of MTR’s dosa mix for 120 rupees whereas isha has managed to provide the same quantity of dosa mix 10 rupees cheaper.

And not to forget the colossal difference in the quality of ingredients used.

Well nothing like making the whole recipe in the kitchen, but isha’s dosa mix has given a compelling option for those who have limited time and resources.

Isha life also has another variant of ragi dosa mix which also checks all the boxes.

4. Isha’s Bath Combo

Number 2 on the list is Isha’s bath combo.

Not one but a pack of five products including a hair wash powder, a facial pack powder, a bath powder, one tooth powder and one coconut oil making a complete set of your bathing essentials.

If you are looking to opt for a natural body care product line in the budget this combo pack is a great choice.

Just these five products priced under rupees 500 can replace almost every product in your bathroom.

Be it their 100 herbal tooth powder which you can use after mixing with coconut oil to clean the teeth and gums or their cold-pressed coconut oil which can be used for oil pulling, as hair oil and also as a moisturizer and sunscreen.

And you should know that whether it is isha life or any brand for that matter, massaging teeth and gums with a tooth powder not just helps in oral care but also make the digestive system robust.

Since their hair, face and body cleansers are simply a powdered mixture of chosen herbs, it is a smart way of making body care products without the use of sulfates, parabens and preservatives which the majority of commercial products are filled with.

It can be your cool, holistic bathing kit while travelling as well. Thumbs up.

Dishonourable Mentions

Now before I reveal my top pick, I want to convey that we should not blindly follow Isha life products there are many products by them which are substandard.

Here are a few dishonourable mentions –

i. Isha’s cookies

Ragi or multigrain is the same old boring recipe of refined sugar, vegetable oils and refined salt.

Having said this they are still better than many commercial biscuits as they do not add any artificial flavours but are far from the best which I have already discussed with you in my biscuit blog.

ii. Isha’s Life Shampoos

Isha life’s shampoos are a big disappointment.

Honestly, their purely natural shampoo is far from natural.

Both have artificial fragrances which might have over 100 undisclosed harsh chemicals in the name of patency.

In their herbal range, they have taken things up by a notch by simply adding synthetic colours just to make the product pleasing to the eyes.

At such a high price point it’s hard to recommend these products.

iii. Isha’s Life’s Bathing Bars

The same old story for Isha life’s bathing bars as well which charge you premium prices but deliver average products.

Much better options are available in the Indian market.

iv. Isha’s Jeev shakti multi-grain laddoos

If you have a sweet tooth, better make laddoos at home as Isha’s Jeev shakti multi-grain laddoos are rather confusing.

On one hand they have added the goodness of palm sugar, but the very next ingredient is sulphur washed refined sugar, definitely skip this one.

That is why I believe that one should always check the ingredients of individual products and not just blindly follow any brand.

It’s actually rare to find a brand which has all top-notch products.

So, as an aware consumer, it is our duty to check the ingredients of the product before buying it.

5. Isha Sukku Coffee

Coming back at number one is Isha sukku coffee.

For those times, when you feel like drinking something hot without experiencing a sudden coffee crash, sukku coffee is a great choice.

Sukko is actually the Tamil word for dried ginger.

That is why this beverage powder is made out of dry ginger as its main ingredient along with pepper, coriander and cardamom.

Out of four two herbs are heating for the body whereas the other two herbs are cooling which makes this sukku coffee suitable for almost all body types.

Although it doesn’t taste like coffee with the right combination of these four herbs, its effect is invigorating for the body and calming for the mind.

While both tea and coffee are negatively stimulating, this sukku coffee is definitely a healthier option.

I want to confirm that I am not with or against Isha life products or any other brand for that matter.

I judge a product on its merit.

I recommend you to do the same as well.
